Our youth ice hockey journals are based on goal setting and self reflection. This isn’t about wins and losses. It isn’t about game stats. The pages are dedicated to both long term goals (with self “check ins” every few weeks) and short term goals (practice to practice, game to game). Questions focus not only on skills they wish to obtain, but also on their thoughts/feelings on the way to the rink and on the way home. The journals are peppered with quotes from our collective ice hockey heroes. Ice rink diagrams allows for drawing out plays they want to work on, as well as plays they want to create! A fold-over spiral spine makes it easy to write in at home or on the go.
